Celebrities always look fabulous. Whether appearing in television or films or strutting down the red carpet during movie premiers and awards, they never cease to fascinate us with their larger than life presence. The truth is, it takes a lot of effort to look the way they do, and being the public figures that they are, they cannot afford to slack off when it comes to taking care of their physical appearances. Their livelihood largely depends on how they look. Aside from the clothes, the hair and the makeup, celebrities have to take good care of their bodies.
So it is no surprise that these stars have their own secrets when it comes to staying fit and gorgeous. Their health agenda can range from extreme workouts to well-planned meals. Who doesn't want to know their secrets in staying absolutely sexy? Here are some of the diet secrets of seven women celebrities.
1. Jennifer Aniston
The star of the phenomenal television show Friends not only mesmerized audiences with her adorable comic sense and her famous hairstyle, she was also known for having one of the sexiest bodies in Hollywood, as she appeared in countless magazine covers. To stay trim, Jennifer follows the 40:30:30 diet method. The diet consists of:
40% Low glycemic carbohydrates
-Foods such as beans, fruits and vegetables, legumes
30% lean proteins
-Tofu, fish, chicken, turkey, beef and low fat dairy products
30% essential fats
-nuts and seeds, fish and olive oils
It is essential that every meal should contain macronutrients to attain the balance of hormones and maximum weight loss.
2. Kate Hudson
The gorgeous daughter of actress Goldie Hawn gained 60 pounds during her pregnancy, which she needed to shed quickly before commencing on her next film. From her previous eating plan, she switched to a higher protein diet. She consumed high protein meals in smaller portions, and she combined this diet with an exercise program that includes weight training and cardiovascular workouts. After getting a lot of flak because of her post-pregnancy figure, Kate removed all that baby weight in only four months and has gained abdominal muscles that gained the envy of many in Hollywood.
3. Oprah Winfrey
As one of the most successful talk-show hosts in the world, there is no question that Oprah needs to maintain her physical appearance for her millions of audiences. Known as one of those celebrities who are constantly battling weight gain, she has recently toned up her figure and has never looked figure in age 50 by combining a regular exercise regime and diet plan. Oprah works out five days a week, spending 30 minutes on the threadmill and doing free weights. Her eating plan consists of legumes, fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables, chicken and dairy products that are lowfat. She limits her consumption of white sugar and flour. Oprah also credits her trim figure to her habit of not eating anything after seven in the evening.
4. Gwyneth Paltrow
A lot of people may find it hard to believe that the perpetually slim Academy award-winning actress actually needs to diet. Gwyneth actually follows a healthy eating plan that resembles Oprah's, avoiding sugar and white flour. She usually follows a macrobiotic diet, eating foods like vegetables, brown rice, and lean meat. She also eliminated dairy from her diet, and does yoga everyday.
5. Madonna
The pop star known as the Material Girl has always flaunted a body that is to die for, and has become a true fitness paragon over the years. She keeps herself in tip-top shape by having Ashtanga Yoga, and follows a strict diet that mostly shuns junk foods. She adopted a macrobiotic eating plan that includes organic foods rich in lean protein.
6. Claudia Schiffer
The bodacious German supermodel eats salad and steamed vegetables for dinner and eats only fruits before the afternoon. While on locations, she prefers to eat black grapes and drinks tomato juice and herbal tea.
7. Christie Brinkley
Long-time supermodel maintains her all-American good looks by being a vegetarian. She does not keep junk foods of any kind inside her home to make sure that she does not eat them when cravings occur. She snacks on sweet potatoes in place of candy bars, and she adopts a liquid juice diet when she needs to slim down fast.
Celebrities are just like ordinary people. They need to maintain their figures just like anyone else, and there is more pressure on their part since they are constantly in the public eye. Ordinary folks can have celebrity-like bodies, too, and by following these diet and fitness plans, they can also look like red-carpet worthy.

Reveal Great New Skin With An Acne HomeMade Mask
By: Jon Butt
Don't dive straight in with an acne homemade mask. You may regret it is you're not careful.
If someone ever told you that rubbing some vegetable on your face creates an acne mask that really works. Or some crazy kind of facial cleanser product will be yours just by slapping on a herb or spice - open your ears and listen hard, because you'll probably hear your face yelling out for mercy.
A homemade acne mask may sound mighty appealing, and that mask may smell not too bad with orange peels and the like smothering all of the pores on your face, but remember that an acne home made mask is only as pure - and that means as clean, and free of bacteria - as that kitchen countertop where it's created.
Acne Mask That's Homemade Cheap...Or Facial Cleanser That Treats Your Face With Respect
The message is hopefully obvious that a cheap homemade product isn't giving your face the 'props' it deserves. Whether you need an acne mask or a facial cleanser, your face will be much better off if you just scratch that homemade acne mask or any other homemade concoction of a facial cleanser off your grocery-shopping list.
A homemade product is just what the doctor ordered if you're making cranberry muffins or a bowl of oatmeal, but your sensitive face is a different subject altogether, especially if you suffer from acne and need an acne mask or facial cleanser that will work - and not make your face worse off.
Look in your bathroom mirror and ask yourself if that homemade acne mask will treat your face the way you wanted it to be treated. Then click on these links for the right cures for acne, since that home made mask will now thankfully be out of sight.

What are the three main symptoms to lung cancer?
By: Jon Butt
The main three symptoms to lung cancer that should not be ignored are shortness of breath, pain when breathing or coughing, and existence of a persistent cough, especially if it is accompanied by expectoration of sputum streaked with blood. Additionally, loss of appetite, fatigue, unusual losses of weight are three symptoms, which are indicative of lung cancer.
Because of the non-specific nature of symptoms of Mesothelioma, Mesothelioma tests are imperative to rule out incidence of the disease when lung cancer symptoms show up. Early detection of Mesothelioma cancer substantiated by clear information of patient's exposure to asbestos can help define the course of treatment.
Early Detection Of Mesothelioma Cancer In Long Term Health Prognosis
The length of time between asbestos exposure and onset of lung cancer symptoms can be between 15-50 years. Therefore a complete medical history and information of possible asbestos exposure are critical in identifying patients who are prone for developing Mesothelioma lung cancer.
During physical tests for Mesothelioma lung cancer, the doctor may check breath sounds to see whether there is any indication of fluid in the chest cavity. A variety of diagnostic procedures also help to determine whether a patient has Mesothelioma lung cancer.
Results from imaging scans, tissue biopsies, pulmonary function tests, and other diagnostic techniques, combined with the findings from a careful medical history help to define the course of treatment in Mesothelioma lung cancer.
There are less common but more uncomfortable symptoms of lung cancer, which are usually associated with advanced stages of the disease. Such lung cancer or Mesothelioma patients may exhibit symptoms like a hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, swelling of the face or in the neck, pain or discomfort under the ribs, and shortness of breath caused by fluid around the lungs.
If you suspect that you or any of your family members have lung cancer symptoms- DO NOT DELAY - consult your physician right away.

Battling an Eating Disorder: When Bulimia Becomes a True American Idol Sized Problem
About the author:
In a People Magazine article, American Idol contestant, Katherine McPhee disclosed that she has secretly suffered from bulimia for the past five years. It was her success in television’s American Idol competition that inspired her to come forward and get help to recover from her life-threatening eating disorder. Katherine, a vocalist who at her worst point was self-inducing vomiting up to seven times a day, claimed that she realized her bulimic behaviors were “equivalent to taking a sledgehammer to her throat” and brought herself to treatment.
Glamorizing Eating Disorder Illnesses? Or Becoming an Invaluable Role Model?
Some may think when celebrities like Katherine come forward with such problems it only “glamorizes” the illness and encourages dysfunction in impressionable young people. In reality, some impressionable youngsters may respond by engaging in self-destructive experimentation, but for the most part, the responses of people like Katherine McPhee provide invaluable role modeling for fans.
Though statistics show that 1 percent of young females in this country suffer with bulimia, the numbers most likely do not reflect the enormity of the problem, as bulimia is among the most frequently missed diagnoses, and only a minority of people with eating disorders, especially with bulimia nervosa, are treated in mental healthcare. A problem cannot be solved until it is defined. In coming forward as she has, McPhee has displayed the courage and intention to achieve her dreams, to become proactive in making her life as healthy, gratified and fulfilled as it can be. Despite the widely held misconception that “once eating disordered, always eating disordered,” eating disorders are fully curable in 80 percent of cases where recognized early and treated effectively. In her forthright and courageous stand, this American Idol contestant has become a true American idol.
Uncovering the Secrets of Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa: The Most Lethal Mental Health Disorders
The most lethal of all the metal health disorders, bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa are extremely hard to recognize. Highly secretive diseases, they rarely show up in doctors’ offices during physical or functional assessments; even laboratory tests do not show evidence of eating disorders until they are in their most advanced stages. By their nature counterintuitive, eating disorders typically give victims a pseudo-sense of power and control, creating the illusion of feeling and becoming “better than ever.” In actual fact, certain stages of recovery feel more precarious and painful than does the disease itself. Making matters even more confusing, many of the symptoms of these lethal disorders lay somewhere along the continuum of normal human behaviors. Who doesn’t overeat, under-eat or engage in emotional or social eating at times?
Eating disorders, which essentially represent an abuse of food in an effort to resolve emotional problems, transcend a dysfunctional relationship with food to represent the tip of a physical, emotional, cognitive, behavioral and social iceberg, with early signs of clinical eating disorders typically evident in diverse life spheres.
8 signs that parents and families may see at home, around the dinner table, in the family bathroom, or the child’s bedroom:
• Erratic eating, eating too much or too little, too frequently or too seldom.
• Dieting and other restrictive eating behaviors (in some instances vegetarianism or skipping meals) that can result in extreme hunger and gorging, irregular menstrual periods.
• Fear of putting on weight, with an all-encompassing preoccupation with food and eating that can account for as much as 80 percent of an individual’s thoughts
• Hiding food, and feeling shame and guilt after eating it. The refusal to eat in the company of others.
• Depressive moods
• Various forms of purging, including self-induced vomiting, excessive exercising, laxative, diuretic, or Ipecac abuse
• Disappearances into the bathroom during or following meals
• Impulsive, immoderate and out of control behaviors beyond the realm of eating, that might include shop lifting, promiscuity, cutting, engaging in chaotic relationships, abuse of substances such as drugs, alcohol, nicotine, diet pills, etc.
There is nothing passive about eating disorders. Always on the move, they are either getting better or you can be certain they are getting worse. Eating disorder recovery can be a long-term process, requiring input from a diverse team of professionals including physicians, psychotherapists, family therapists, nutritionists, psycho pharmacologists and school counselors. The course of recovery will be as variable, must be as comprehensive, and in many ways will feel as convoluted as the course of disease, typically combining outpatient and inpatient treatment milieus and diverse treatment modes. Victims of eating disorders, as young as age 5 or as old as 60, male or female, individuals alone or living within the context of a supportive or not so supportive family system need help to recognize, accept and conquer these diseases…to become capable of reclaiming their lives, proactively, with steadfast commitment… to fight the good fight for life and life quality.

Detox and You: What Have You Heard?
Article Source: http://activeauthors.com This article was written by Dr. Robert Fleishmann, a board-certified neurologist and specialist in total mind body wellness, and consultant for A Major Difference – makers of the Original IonCleanse , Light Rejuvenizers, and Body Clensing Products.

It seems that no matter where you turn these days, someone is talking about health care.Whether it’s the overall construction of the system or simply the idea that people need to focus on their health more, health is always in the news. But with all of the news reports that seem to contradict the findings from the day before, how can you know what truth is really, well, true? What you want to do is look to the past to see how to shape your future and that means looking into a whole body detox.
Getting rid of the bad stuff to make way for the good
The idea of a whole body detox is nothing new in some religious circles. By fasting before a religious rite, some groups believed they could be more open to receiving spiritual guidance. But the idea of a total body detox for health is something that can also be seen in history. Medicine men and women understood that germs in the body needed to be removed somehow and if that meant finding a way to remove them, then that’s what they did. Often in the form of poisonous or noxious plants, the total body detoxification would take place over hours or days, resulting in some uncomfortable digestive maladies for the patient.
But did it work? That’s really the question. It’s no secret that our bodies are designed to remove any wastes, toxins, or poisons when they are identified. This is why we have the functions of vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, urination, and defecation. In most cases, we’re able to remove any toxins without much trouble. But when our bodies are tired and unable to excrete the toxins as effectively as they can, we begin to need a total body detox program.
Changing what you eat
Instead of chewing on poisonous plants though, we can change the foods we eat in order to help our bodies have an easier time processing toxins. By simply taking away any chemical laden foods, caffeine, sugars, and excess fats, our bodies will be able to digest more easily, leaving that energy for other excretion processes. Drinking a lot of water can also help this total body detoxification process.
Adding technology to the picture
But there are even simpler ways to detox your body without changing your life. The idea of an ionic foot cleanse is something that’s recently come into favor in health-concerned groups. By rebalancing the distribution of ions in the body, the body can be more balanced and more energetic. This allows the body to cleanse itself in that ionic foot bath as well as increase other excretion responses. You can find an ionic foot cleanse system or an ionic foot bath, such as the Ioncleanse, through many online sources and health system retailers.
In the end, the best detox program for you is the one that you will follow. And while dietary changes are always the best advice, using an ionic foot cleanse system is certainly a step in the right direction.

Need A Hair Cut, but Dont Know What Your Style Is? Here is Some Help

Face it, everyone hates going to their hairdressers because they know that the dreaded question is coming. So, how do you want your hair this time? My thoughts on this are, we go to the hair dressers to have them do our hair, shouldnt they know what will look best on us. Well, no matter what size or shape your face is, hopefully this will help give you a better idea about what you want the next time your hairdresser asks you.
If you have a round face, you want to make sure to get a cut that makes your face look slimmer. It is best to keep a style that falls just below your chin and one that will add a little bit of dimension on the top of your head. If you are one that likes the look of bangs (something that is hot for this year) then make sure to keep them on the long side or swept to the side in a wispy fashion. This will help to play down the roundness of your face. You definitely want to avoid haircuts tat emphasize the roundness of your face. This means do not get that all one length haircut and avoid blunt cuts.
If your face is square in shape, you will want to make sure to soften your face. You do not want a hairstyle that will accentuate your strong angular jawline. So it is best to avoid that bob style and blunt bangs or this will cause your face to look squarer. What you do want to do is for texture by getting curls (or accentuating the ones that you already have) or make the ends choppy. If you prefer something with even more flair, consider a short, spiky look or even a long layered look that starts down at the jaw and continues to pull your eyes down.
If you are cursed with the long face, there are many options for you depending upon whether you like short or long hair or if your hair is straight or curly. If you are blessed with beautiful curls, you want to avoid short layers because this will only add more height on the top of your head accentuating the length of your face. But, consider a chin length bob to widen the look of your face. You can do this also by wearing bangs either shorter or for the super hot look of the season in very long side swept modern fashion. You definitely want to avoid styles that are extremely long and very, very short. This will make your face look twice as long. Always wear layers of you can, especially around your face as this will make you look beautiful.
If you have the oval face style, feel very lucky. This is the most versatile shape. You can wear your hair long, short, curly, or straight. It does not matter what style you get your hair done in because it will always look good. If you want to accentuate your cheekbones, make sure that the layers start there. The same goes for the lips or the chin. Wherever you want to accentuate, start your layers there. To avoid making your face look long, you want to avoid short layers which add volume to the top. You might also want to avoid a blunt haircut if your have curly thick hair and this will make you look like you have helmet head.
The final face style is the heart shape. This shape tends to dray more attention to your chin rather than to your face. This can be rectified by helping to draw attention to your eyes and cheekbones. Side swept bangs, long bangs, or hair that falls below the jawline will help to draw that attention upwards if you have long hair. If you like you hair shorter, consider keeping soft long layers to draw that attention to your eyes. You definitely want to avoid haircuts where your bangs are cut bluntly or you get a cut that has choppy layers.
So now that you know what to avoid and what looks best, hopefully the next time you go to the hairstylists, you can answer that age old question So, how do you want your hair done today? and feel happy about the style that you walk out with.

I am sure you have heard the saying, you are what you eat, though many people still do not realize that what they eat, can actually affect their skin as well as various other aspects of their life.
How A Poor Diet Can Cause Poor Skin
Our skin has gotten worse over the past few decades. In the past, people cooked more and made meals from scratch, whereas today convenience rules most of the time. This often means quick and easy ready meals laced full with additives and with hardly any nutritional content in them. Whilst it may seem easier and better to simply shove a ready meal into the microwave, many people do not realize exactly what it is doing to their health, and even if they do, they do not really seem to care.
Our tongue suffers quite a lot from not getting the right nutrients. The more junk food we eat which is laced with additives and false flavorings, the number our tongue becomes. You can tell if your taste buds have numbed because your tongue will have a slightly grey appearance to it. So what about what the junk food is doing to our skin on the outside?
A poor diet can leave the skin looking dull and undernourished. Many people follow low carbohydrate diets which can rob the body of anti oxidant rich produce. Antioxidants help to fight free radicals which cause premature ageing. Also, if you do not drink enough water, your body can become dry and hence the skin may develop a condition such as Eczema or even Psoriasis. So what should you be doing to keep your skin healthy?
How to Eat a Skin Healthy Diet
It is not too hard to stick to a diet which is healthy for your skin. With a few tips, you can easily keep your skin looking young and healthy for longer. A few things which may help include:
Eat Plenty of Fatty Acids
Fatty acids are extremely good for the skin and they can be found in oily fish as well as in flaxseed oil. Salmon and tuna are particularly good and in order to incorporate flaxseed oil into the diet, you should try adding two tablespoons of it per day onto foods such as potatoes.
Get The Right Vitamins Into The Body
Vitamin E is especially helpful in keeping the skin looking good. Nuts such as Almonds and Hazelnuts are great for keeping the skin looking healthy as they are extremely rich in vitamin E. Whole grains and soy based products are also good foods to eat.
Vitamin A is also good for the skin and foods such as sweet potatoes, spinach and carrots are all rich in beta carotene which is natures most easily assimilated source of Vitamin A. The beta carotene helps to fight off free radicals which cause anti ageing.
Drink Plenty of Water!
Water is almost a miracle cure for the skin. It really does help to clear the skin and flush out any toxins within the body. It is recommended that you drink around 8 glasses of water a day, though it all depends upon how active you are. If you are fairly active, you may need more than 8 glasses a day in order to keep your skin properly hydrated.
However, if you hardly do anything during the day, you may not need to drink as much as usual. The general rule is to look at the color of your urine when you go to the toilet. If it is a lighter color than champagne, you are getting enough fluid in you, if not then you need to be drinking more water!
Overall a healthy diet is essential if you want healthy skin. Obviously you will need to exercise, and get plenty of sleep too, but by having a healthy diet you are contributing to having healthy, glowing skin!

Teeth whitening procedures available for use
Article Source: http://activeauthors.com We recommend using cosmetic dentistry products that can be applied on the teeth by anyone. With our toothpastes and gels you will benefit from teeth whitening and spare time and money at the same time.
By: Clint Jhonson
Society is permanently changing and so are fashion icons, trends and styles. However, a perfect, bright smile will always be appreciated and up to date. Unfortunately, not everyone has been blessed with pearl white teeth and the best solution to get that healthy, successful smile is cosmetic dentistry. The goal is to change the appearance of the oral cavity and the procedures implied by cosmetic dentistry do the trick for everyone.
The main treatments that cosmetic dentistry uses are teeth whitening and the application of veneers. Teeth whitening is the ideal treatment for patients with perfectly healthy teeth who are willing to obtain that great attractive smile. There are three main options for teeth whitening procedures. First, teeth whitening can be done by using whitening toothpastes which are found everywhere on the market. Another teeth whitening procedure uses whitening gels or strips. Finally, the top method of cosmetic dentistry whitening procedures is laser bleaching.
During teeth whitening procedures, the dentist will use a product which contains peroxide gels. Before beginning the cosmetic dentistry procedure, the dentist will isolate the patient’s gum areas. The teeth whitening treatment continues with the application of the peroxide gel on teeth. The laser is used to increase the whitening effect. Laser bleaching is the most expensive cosmetic dentistry option and it has the most amazing results.
Another dental tooth whitening procedure is the use of porcelain veneers. Veneers are ultra thin custom made laminates which are fixed directly to the teeth in order to modify their appearance, shape and color. In comparison to other procedures, dental veneers are permanent so they can not be removed. They have a long lasting color, which makes them popular in teeth whitening treatments.
The extent to which teeth can are whitened through a cosmetic dentistry procedure depends on a few factors. The main factor that influences the teeth whitening result is the natural color of teeth and how well the patient responds to the treatment. Another factor is the eating habits of the patient. Those who do not smoke or drink coffee benefit from a more persistent white offered by cosmetic dentistry.
Teeth whitening procedures have a few side effects also. The most common is the increased tooth sensitivity. However, this reaction to cosmetic dentistry can be avoided by choosing a professional dentist specialized in cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening procedures, by using special toothpaste and by avoiding dehydration. Most teeth whitening procedures are expensive due to the high quality of the products and to the involved technology. The materials and training of the expert contribute to the high price of the cosmetic dentistry treatments. However, price is not an issue when people want bright smiles. Cosmetic dentistry offers benefits that erase doubts: teeth whitening is pain free and the amazing results are worth it.
No matter which teeth whitening procedure you choose to have, whether it is laser bleaching, whitening tooth pastes or veneers, the most important thing is that your smile is associated with your health, personality, sexuality and appearance. People who have great, bright smiles are more likely to succeed in their career and social life and be happier because they have the freedom to smile and enjoy themselves whenever they feel like it. And all this is due to the comfortable cosmetic dentistry treatments.

Which is Better? Oily or Dry?
Keep YOURSELF looking and feeling great with these great FREE
After dealing with oily skin for so long and constantly hearing about its problems and ways to remedy them, you may have never asked the question on whether or not there were any benefits of having oily skin. After all, how could there be, what with the acne breakouts, shiny look, dull complexion, and the numerous other things that can do easily dishearten someone trying to get their skin to look healthy and lessen on the oil production.
If you are at a stage in your life where having oily skin is inevitable, but you still keep a steady and well developed skin regimen, as well as eat right and exercise daily, you can improve your oily skin as well as reap the benefits oily skin can bring you. That is right; there are some good things the come with oily skin. When you compare your dealings with oily skin to the dealings people have with dry skin, you may be thanking your lucky stars you have oily skin instead. It may seem like a long shot, but depending upon the severity of your oily skin, it is very possible.
Oily vs. Dry
People with oily skin can claim it is worse than having dry skin. However, people with dry skin will win out with the announcement that dry is worse than oily. Why? While oily can be a skin type, it is usually due to hormonal changes and can possibly disappear after a certain amount of time. Dry skin, on the other hand, is not so based on hormones and can stick around for a lot longer. Dry skin does not simply go away with a few slaps of moisturizer like some would lead you to believe. In fact, it is much worse.
People with dry skin must cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize with all the right products to avoid further dryness. While you use the occasional blotter during the day to keep your skin from getting too shiny, a person with dry skin cannot do much to rid themselves of flakes; moisturizing during the day can help, but it cannot revive skin cells that are already dead and shedding away.
Environmental circumstances can also severely aggravate dry skin while not doing too much to those with oily skin. Hot summer months and harsh winter seasons are especially detrimental to dry skin suffers, but whereas your problem usually lies within your body, you already have the upper hand in control.
When using makeup, those with dry skin must try and find good products or be faced with the consequences. Sure, you may agree with your skin type, but the difference lies within the overall look you have with the makeup several hours after application. Even people with dry skin products may find that their skin has absorbed the moisture in the makeup and looks dry with plenty of unsightly flakes hanging around.
Even when applying makeup meant for dry skin, flakes can appear and are quite difficult to hide. When you have oily skin, your makeup, such as foundations, will stay even and fresh, in if you get too much oil appearing, just wipe out a blotter and move on. People with dry skin have no quick fix.
The look of aging is also aided with oily skin. Dry skin means damaged skin and can give the look of premature aging, help emphasize fine lines and other skin issues. Oily skin, on the other hand, helps to slow down the power of Father Time, which means fewer wrinkles, fine lines, and other impurities for you and your skin.
Even if all these things are not exactly appealing to you and at the very least you should allow them to make you feel a little better about having oily skin. Stressing out and fussing over oily skin will only make your problem worse and lead to acne outbreaks. So try to look on the sunny side of things and work around all that excess oil. With a positive attitude and dedicated attention, you should be able to eventually tame your oily skin and enjoy the strengths it has given you.

Stop Nail Biting Finger Nail Biting
Bob has a video with a secret that promises to teach how to stop biting nails in minutes. To download it click here:
Nail biting is no doubt one of the most common habits around. Most often than not, people think that biting is a way to relieve stress. Other such habits manifesting stress and nervousness could be thumb-sucking, nose picking, hair twisting or pulling, tooth grinding or skin picking. Nail biting besides showing stress and excitement might also be due to boredom or inactivity.
Genially instinctive and one engages in it without even thinking about it. You could easily check it. Most often you would find people watching television or talking on the phone and biting nails without even thinking about it. The problem is that biting is not just about biting nails, it also develops into cuticle biting and biting of flesh around nails.
There are many who claim that biting nails has no side effects on the nails as such as long as you do not damage the nail bed but the problem is related to your health. The most common problem with biting your nails is paronychia or infection of the skin. Warts might also develop around the nail bed. There are a number of ways to stop right from medications to therapies.
If you want to stop biting the main thing to understand is that there is nothing clinically wrong with nail biting as such as long as you do not damage the nail beds and cuticles. It is mostly due to anxiety and compulsive behavior. It is always a good idea to take some professional help in such cases. Behavioral therapy and medications are the way to go.
Finger biting is one of the most common habits and almost everyone goes through it at one point of time or other. Finger nail biting is marked by biting of fingernails or even toenails. It has been marked that finger is generally due to nervousness, hunger, stress, or even boredom. Finger nail biting could also be manifestation of mental or emotional disorder. Technically speaking nail biting is known as chronic onychophagia.
Biting your nails is seen the most in adolescents. More than forty percent of the adolescents have the habit of finger nail biting. It is about 25% to 35% amongst children between the ages of seven and ten. And what is more, 5% of the older adults have this habit of finger nail biting.
Finger biting shows good result with medications. New anti-depressants like clomipramine, sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine, escitalopram, venlafaxine and nefazodone. These anti-depressants work very well with Trichotillomania and OCD. Most often anti-psychotics in small amounts are used with these anti-depressants to treat schizophrenia. Some of these anti-psychotics are olazapine, risperidone, quetiapine, aripiprazole and ziprasidone. And it must never be deduced that since you are being given medications that are used to treat schizophrenia, you are in some sort suffering from the same malaise.
Finger biting is one of the major reasons of infection. It transfers germs from your nails to your mouth. It is also the case with nail tools like files. Suppose it is being used on different people and someone has some infection in their nails. So, when it is used on you, the germs get transferred to you and when you put your fingers in your mouth, you transfer the germs to your mouth. It is always a good idea to stop finger biting and the best time is now.

Real Beauty Fitness
By Ruby Boyd
Fitness and beauty can be one and the same. Being fit and healthy
will automatically make you look better. A healthy inside creates
a healthy outside.
Fitness through exercise can help you to maintain a healthy
body weight and improve muscle tone.
Our looks reflect the sum total of who we are and how we live,
and the best we can do in life is to make the best of what
nature has given is, without excuse, apology, or pretense.
If we try to live otherwise, we find ourselves acting on a stage
with other actors and actresses--great pretenders without real
friends, without real lovers, without real relationships.
While we realize that there is such a thing as "natural beauty,"
which is beyond all standards of culture and history in some
sense, there are also "relative" standards of beauty.
We all know about fads, styles, and adornments that are "in" one
season and "out" the next. This includes cosmetics, hair styles,
clothing, and even body weight and size.
These standards may vary from country to country, year to year,
or even among different age groups in the same country and year.
For example, full figures are considered the ideal in some
historical periods, but slender figures are valued now--at
least in Western countries.
The point is that cultural standards change--and we may choose
to follow or ignore them--because the cultivation of natural
beauty is not dependent upon fads.
In order to get along harmoniously, whether at the level of
dating, courtship, or marriage, men and women have to get past
physical looks and into the more important qualities that make
up human relationships, such as kindness, friendship, and areas
of mutual interest.
There is such a thing as a beautiful personality. There can be
beauty in the way a person thinks. An attitude or smile can be
beautiful. Love is certainly beautiful, and all of life is
beautiful when we are in love.
A person is truly beautiful when he or she is healthy. Any
disease or illness affects all parts of the body, sometimes
for many years before the symptoms are manifested. If the body
and mind are not healthy, then a person cannot feel or be truly
attractive.
Good health brings a glow to the skin, a ring to the voice, a
twinkle to the eye, and a spring to the step that no beauty
school can teach.

Divine Food for Divine Beauty

The phrase "natural beauty" has been abused and misused beyond restoration. The modern use is almost never associated with its true meaning. Someone said there should be a portrait of a healthy person in a museum so people would know what they are talking about. If we don’t know what a healthy person looks like, how do we know what natural beauty is?
In our unnatural world, the word "natural" no longer means without effort, at least not in the realm of obtaining your best look. One thing is a must in defining natural beauty: its achievement must not involve any sacrifice of health. None, period. If health is compromised in any way beauty is not natural.
Our body was created in the image of God, the Supreme Beauty. When our actions are in opposition to nature, the results are different types of bodily ills, deformities, and ugliness. Since there can be no natural beauty without eating 100 percent natural food, most of you have never seen the natural you.
There is an urgent need for another word. The contemporary meaning of natural is too far from the divine. I suggest filling this void with "rawsome", a new word circulating in the raw food community. It is a combination of two words:" raw" and "awesome" with the meaning being something between natural and divine. The diet of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds also needs to be renamed. I have often been told that the phrase “the raw food diet”, sounds like eating raw meat, particularly sushi, which is misleading. The raw food diet is so awesome that it should be called the very name it inspired- the Rawsome Diet.
Most of us feel our appearance lacks something. In reality, ugliness is more about excess. Toxic accumulations in our bodies are responsible for stealing our health and attractiveness. Beauty lies latent under cushions of retained fluids, deposits of fat, and sick tissues. Your beauty is buried alive, but in most cases it can be revived in a version that will be satisfactory to you. You must take immediate action to revitalize it. When you do, your uncovered beauty will surprise and delight you.
Eating cooked food will leave residues the body cannot utilize, and they will be deposited in places our Creator never intended. Everything not fully digested and properly eliminated, the body will treat as an abnormal substance. It will pocket these toxins as far away from the vital organs as possible--on the peripheries of the body--where it will invariably be reflected in our outward appearance. If the body cannot use it inside, it will deposit it on the outside. Nutrients from the food you eat spiral upward to the epidermis, and their quality will determine whether you will have a glowing clear complexion or skin spotted with growths, such as moles and skin sores.
Some physical characteristics of our face and body we cannot change--they were determined prior to our birth. But the consumption of the raw plant diet as an adult will make a difference in the texture of skin and hair, the health of nails, weight and complexion. All of these traits and more are determined by daily choices, with food being one of the most important and, luckily, the one we can fully control.
The Rawsome diet is the most suitable one for human physiology. It is salubrious to the body’s health and salutary to its beauty. The ability to renew cells is built into your body, and the body itself is capable of making you look more attractive. After all, we were designed to bloom continuously as old cells get replaced by new ones. The Rawsome diet makes the most of this rejuvenating ability of our bodies.
Rawsome beauty is not manufactured from the outside but cultivated from the inside by nutritionally charged food. Whole raw food restores the integrity of every cell and facilitates the optimal operation of every organ inside and out. The body, having been awakened by the improved diet, in its wisdom, will reach out to the places where health was lacking, and you will gradually see your beauty surfacing. The Rawsome diet will eliminate all the toxins on a deeper level and bring amazing changes to your appearance.
Only the body sustained on raw food will host natural beauty, or should we say Rawsome beauty. The landscape of the body will change. The surface of the skin will become soft and smooth but still firm and supple. Visible pores will diminish. A sallow skin with a yellow pallor will turn into a porcelain-like complexion. The whites of eyes, once red, will become bright with a bluish tinge. As natural collagen production improves, it will fill in the places where it is needed as in hollow cheeks. Raw food eating will clarify and refine your features and bring delicacy to your face.
On the Rawsome Diet, you will marvel at how the Master Artist will make the most of your individual features and bring balance to the entire face. Texture, hues, and shape will be harmoniously arranged into a genteel whole. Perfection and imperfection will be tied together into a unique original version of beauty.
Each time I see a woman, I study her appearance, and I see not just the way she looks but the way she could look. What I see is how far her image falls short of her potential beauty. I perceive her beauty as it would stand out after the body has cleansed itself from toxins and excesses.
From age 15 until recently, I wore my hair permed, only to discover at 45 that straight hair in my natural color was the best possible frame for my face. Did my preference change? Not at all. My face did. So let me give you a hint, if you need a camouflaging hairdo, you are not looking your best. The changes in your face brought about by raw foods will bring the freedom to arrange your hair in any way you want. When your peer group is thinking: “I am losing my looks”, you will be finding yours. At 45, I enjoy looking in the mirror while before I detested my reflection.
As the cleansing initiated by this diet is completed, you will be very pleased to see how you were meant to look. Your body will exhibit beauty and dignity. You will become satisfied, even fascinated, with your appearance. When you look your very best, you look perfect, in a sense that you are as close to the divine image for yourself as you could ever be. You accept yourself completely. Natural beauty is above conformity; it doesn’t demand to be accepted by the dictates of the beauty norm.
People who have been on the raw food lifestyle for several years begin to have a glow, the kind not often seen in middle-aged people. Optimal health is recognized by an emerging radiance. Glow is hard to fake because it is internal. It comes from an abundance of clear, pink, almost transparent cells that light up the face. Only superior blood circulation can bring this transfiguring glow. Several years on the raw food diet will make you look as though you just stepped out of a painting by Renoir--the impressionist best known for his preoccupation with light.
I have come to believe if you do not embrace the 100 percent raw food diet, you will never meet The Most Beautiful You. The best proof that the Rawsome diet is optimal for the body is it makes you beautiful. Slim face, slender waist, and clear skin with smooth coloration-these subtle changes will convince you the raw plant diet is the best for good health and graceful beauty. No woman knows her true beauty until she cleanses her body completely of all waste.
You can say there are people who are beautiful, and they are not on this diet. That is true. It is hard to believe, but even they haven't seen the best of themselves. Dissatisfaction with one’s appearance arises not from perceiving our bodies inaccurately but because subconsciously we are aware we haven’t achieved our optimal look. The Rawsome diet gives a feeling of authenticity, an assurance we have become what we were meant to be.
Raw food not only corrects beauty’s shortcomings but also lifts the limitations of one’s spirit and releases strains and tensions in both your mind and body. People on the raw food diet have an aura about them, a transcendent nobility and complacent dignity. Sickness is goodness lost, and our unhappiness is a longing for goodness. One takes in the goodness in the form of fresh fruits and vegetables and feels its purifying process on the inside. Goodness in one’s food summons up goodness in one’s appearance and character.
Do you think it is hard to follow this life style? Women have done so many outrageous and dangerous things to themselves in the pursuit of beauty, I believe they should at least try the Rawsome lifestyle, which promises to transform them into beautiful people. What a woman won’t do for health, she will do for beauty. This is the first time beauty asks no sacrifice from health.

Tonya knows firsthand what it is to be humiliated, face adversity and meet the complex obstacles of daily living with a congenital disability. Facing several reconstructive hip surgeries to enable her to walk, she sought a way to offset the devastating effects of anesthetics on her health and appearance. She became more and more convinced that the solution to her quest for health and beauty was to be found in the raw food lifestyle or the Rawsome Diet as she calls it. The Rawsome Diet not only helped her to sail courageously through troublesome times, brought her general health and appearance to an all time best, but also opened a new chapter of her life. Firmly believing that the roots of under-performing and under-achieving lie in feeling and looking less than your personal best, she is on a mission: she wants every woman to look and feel beautiful. Tonya is convinced that by eating as God intended everyone can look uniquely beautiful as God envisioned. To learn more about how you can uncover your Rawsome beauty, visit: www.beautifulonraw.com

Dry Hair And Split Ends

Sharon Hopkins
Using any amount of hot air will cause your hair to dry out.
Dry weather and blow drying will strip the hair of its
moisture. Shampooing frequently and swimming in chlorinated
pools will lead to dry hair and split ends. Hair dyes, electric
curlers and permanents cause hair to dry out and have split
ends.
To avoid split ends, follow the following tips and keep your
hair glossy:• Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the
hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes
before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise
treatment is an hour.
• Spray the beer: If you do not get any respite from using the
mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that
gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour
some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after
shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the
hair.
• Shampoo minimally: Though it has become fashionable to
shampoo daily, it is not advisable to do so. Shampoo strips the
hair of its natural oils and thus gives it a dry, limp
appearance. Alternatively, choose a shampoo for dry, damaged
hair.
• Condition your hair: Dry hair can be benefited greatly by the
use of conditioners after shampooing. The outer layers of the
hair or cuticles peel away the shaft, resulting in split ends.
Conditioner glues these cuticles back to the shaft and
lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus
preventing its frizzy appearance.
• Avoid heat: Heat appliances like blow-dryers, electric irons
and curlers damage the hair. Instead of blow-drying the hair,
you can pat dry with a towel. Replace electric curlers with
unheated plastic rollers that were used in a bygone era.
Straighten the hair by wrapping the slightly damp hair around
the cold rollers and leave them on for about ten minutes. To
curl the hair or to give them a wavy appearance, use sponge
rollers overnight or sleep with moist braids.
• Cover your head: Wearing a hat during windy days is the
safest way to protect the hair from drying out. This way, you
will also protect your hair from drying out by the sun.
• Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so, try cutting
off the split ends to keep them under control.

Van Whitsett
Did you know that menstrual cramps is the single greatest cause

Also known as dysmenorrhea, menstrual cramps are the cause of
an estimated 140 million hours of lost school and work.
However, you do not have to live in pain. Below are some
helpful tips that can help women during this particularly

raising the level of beta-endorphins, which are chemicals in
the brain associated with pain relief. Studies have shown that
beta endorphins have a positive effect on mood and behavior.
3. Try an over the counter Ibuprofen. Advil, Nuprin, and Motrin
IB all contain Ibuprofen, which is one of the best pain
relievers around. 200 milligrams every four to six hours is the
recommended dosage, or twice that if symptoms warrant.
4. Oral contraceptive pills: Have been found to decrease the
amount of menstrual tissue formed and lower the pain level
(amplitude) of the uterine contractions.
5. Mefenamic acid: Also found over the counter, effectively
relieves severe menstrual pain while also reducing heavy
menstrual bleeding, easing menstrual migraine, and easing the
physical and emotional symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.
6. Reduce salt intake: To prevent water retention that causes
bloating. Also, avoid liquor and other alcoholic beverages to
reduce headaches.
7. Learn to relax. Rest, sleep and relaxation exercises can
help reduce the pain and discomfort of menstrual cramps. A
relaxing massage or bath with oil made with chamomile,
lavender, marjoram, ginger and/or clary sage. They are aromatic
and can aid in relaxation.
Never surrender to pain. There are steps you can take to help
alleviate the pain and discomfort. So, the next time you

Beauty care - 7 beauty tips

Let's talk about inner beauty care. True beauty begins from the inside out. Outer beauty will only appear when you’ve practiced beauty within.
Beauty care is one of the problems that most women (and men) of all ages face. Beauty, or the lack of it, is pretty much a state of mind. . .well almost. There are beauty tips for Hair Styles, Nails, Skin Care, Body and Shape, Weight Loss, Exercise, Fashion and Style, Inner Beauty and more.
Let's talk about inner beauty care. True beauty begins from the inside out. Outer beauty will only appear when you’ve practiced beauty within.
Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, overweight, illness and an overall lethargy.
Change your eating and exercising habits. You can do this. Do not try to change everything at once, unless you are just one of those rare individuals that can do that.
Beauty care starts with our diet. Diet does not mean just losing weight. Diet means the food you put in your daily eating habits.
1)A rule of thumb for eating habits are...don't eat more calories than you consume. Don't go one single day without doing something extra and physical for at least 30 minutes per day. This can be three ten minute walks. Or 30 minutes of vigorous aerobics, or 12 minutes of weight lifting and 18 minutes of walking.
2) Water, you need water. Try to add at least 4 more glasses of water to your daily diet. The rule of thumb for water is 8 glasses per day; and one extra for every ten pounds overweight you are.
3) Fats, you need to know about fats. There are different kinds of fats. Some fats are better for you than others. A rule of thumb on fats is, stay away from hydrogenated fats. These are fats that solidify. They are in store bought cakes, cookies, crackers, chips and even in bran muffins. Read the labels.
Choose fats that are polyunsaturated or fats such as olive oil. And, eat some fish to get some omega-3 fats. Carbohydrates - Are your immediate fuel source. An average is about 55 percent of your diet in carbohydrates. So, a rule of thumb is, figure your protein grams, get around 25% fat per day, and the rest would be in carbohydrates. The heavier you are, the more protein you need the less carbohydrates you will need.
Fats - try not to exceed more than 25 percent fat in your daily diet. 30 is fine, too. That does not mean you can't have a junk food fast food hamburger... it just means that if you do eat that 55 percent fat burger that you are going to have to cut down on other fat filled foods for the rest of the day to balance it out.
4) Fiber - work up to getting 25 grams of Fiber per day
5) Protein - averages about 20 percent. Divide weight by 2.2 and multiply that by .8 to get the kilograms. For men it is averages as one gram per each kilogram of weight. So, a man would divide their weight in pounds 2.2 then multiply that by .10
6) Make exchanges gradually. Suppose you drink whole milk...work down to 2 percent. Maybe replacing two of your cups per day until you can completely change over. If you are on two percent milk, work down to 1 percent.
7) Add bran to your cereals for extra fiber. Do add it in your baking. You need to balance your diet with vegetables and fruits, too. Try adding different colors to your plate. Maybe an orange yam, and some green beans, to add color. The more variety of food colors, bring more variety of vitamins. Eat more raw foods.
Remember, exchange things, add things, and do it gradually and rememberBusiness Management Articles, live all things in life in moderation and soon you will be bouncy and vibrant and well on your way to living BEAUTIFULLY!

Beauty Tips for Luscious Lips
By Sheila Dicks
The last step in your makeup regime is lipstick application. Some women say if they could have only one beauty item it would be lipstick. Lip color brings the whole look together to create harmony. To keep your lips looking perfect, have lip color with you at all times and reapply when needed.
When you select a lip color take in consideration your clothing and blush colors. The color of your clothing and blush should complement your lipstick but doesn’t have to be perfectly matched. However, the colors should be in the same intensity and range. Wear cool colors together and warm colors together. Pink lipsticks go with blue and pink colors and corals and russets go with clothing that falls in a yellow/orange range.
Sheila Dicks is an image and wardrobe consultant who teaches women how to dress to suit their body type and look slimmer. You can visit her at http://www.sheilasfashionsense.com to download her "Image Makeover" ebook and get "How to Build a Wardrobe" free.Steps to apply lip color:
1. Prepare your lips by applying foundation over them (this will extend the wear).
2. Outline and define the shape using a lip pencil that has soft, pointed top. Start at the V in your upper lip drawing down to the corners. Then, starting at the middle of the bottom lip draw a line to the corners. To help lipstick stay on longer, use your pencil to cover the lips entirely.
3. Fill in upper lip with lipstick or you can use a lip brush.
4. Fill in the lower lip and then blot with a tissue and reapply.
5. Dab gloss in the centre of your lower lip to create a fuller more glamorous look.
When defining the lips with a lip pencil be sure the pencil and lipstick colors are very close. The lip liner should not be noticeable. Lip liners are meant to keep your lipstick in place, keep lipstick from bleeding, define the shape and help them look more natural. Do not try to change the shape of your lips by going outside the natural line.
* Dark lipsticks will make small lips appear smaller.

About The Author: Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Reno_Charlton
By Reno Charlton
However, modern birthstones are linked to calendar months, and each month has its own unique birthstone, with its own fabled properties. Many people love to wear jewellery set with their birthstone, as the ancient meanings and associations with these stones still intrigue them.
You can get many types of jewellery containing birthstones, such as birthstone rings, a birthstone pendant and birthstone earrings. Giving someone an item of jewellery set with their birthstone is a touching and wonderful gift, and whether you give them a birthstone ring, a birthstone pendant or a birthstone brooch, it is something that they are likely to treasure forever because it has real meaning and significance.
Below you will find a listing of each of the birthstones used today.

Garnets are traditionally thought of as deep red, but actually come in a wide range of colours, so there is something to suit every taste for this month.

Brighten Up Dull Tired Skin

By Danielle Sims
As we grow older and are constantly exposed to the UV rays of the sun our skin starts to appear dry and dull. This is the result of the outside layer of the skin getting excessive build up and is not exfoliated on a regular basis. Build-up is especially noticed after we have spent the summer in the sun. It’s more apparent to women since we realize that our make-up doesn't look as fresh and our foundation begins to fade within a couple of hours. Our make-up and foundation is actually being absorbed into the accumulated dead skin cells, which gives a very tired and unhealthy look to the skin.
To keep your skin vibrant and healthy on a regular basis, you must have a regimen that incorporates exfoliation and nourishing the skin. Your regular skin care program does not have to be a department store or drug store solution. You can prepare an all nature skin care program right from your kitchen table and manage to get the same results if not better results that your store bought product promises.
Exfoliation:
You should exfoliate at least 2-3 times per week (daily is even better) to keep the skin’s healthy glow. One solution for exfoliating the skin in an in expensive way is to use sugar. Yes, Sugar! Glycolic acid which is found in most AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) products is from sugar cane. You can benefit from glycolic acid by using sugar for exfoliation.
Simply mix ½ to 1 teaspoon of sugar in with a small amount of your favorite skin cleanser. Wet your face and massage the cleanser/sugar mixture over your face for 1-2 minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water to remove this mixture and you will instantly feel a difference in your skin.
Nourish:
Give your skin a refreshing drink with a simple nourishing facial mask. The ingredients are powerful and can be found in your kitchen. Combine one or more main ingredient with a liquid ingredient for to make a wonderful facial mask. Base your ingredient choices on the health properties of each item.
Base Ingredient:
Honey – It is a humectant (which draws in moisture) and it has antibacterial qualities that also stimulates and smoothes the skin.
Mango - Provides natural fruit enzymes which also exfoliates the skin and the oil in mangos help moisturize.
Avocado - A naturally rich moisturizer has essential fats and oils.
Oatmeal – Moisturizing and slightly exfoliating
Liquid Ingredient:
Milk – Enzymes and Lactose acid to exfoliate and milk fat to condition the skin.
Aloe Vera Gel – Healing and softening.
Egg White – tightening and conditioning.
You will want to follow your treatments with your favorite hypoallergenic moisturizer. For best results, these treatments can be done 2-3 times a week to help keep your skin youthful and vibrant.

4 Keys to Weight Loss

by: Chad Anderson, CSCS
First off, let me start by saying this list is by no means exhaustive. However, if you can manage these 4 important components of a weight loss program, you will be on your way to a slimmer body.
Build the Foundation
Many people begin a weight loss program with their basal metabolic rate (BMR), which is the amount of energy (calories) your body uses in a resting state, in the gutter. The key then is to increase your BMR so that you are burning more calories throughout the day, every day. Increase the amount of calories you burn, increase the amount of fat you lose. Makes sense, yes? The best way to increase your BMR is through adding muscle tissue. Females often shudder at the idea of adding muscle due to their fear of becoming “bulky.” Relax babe! It’s a little harder to add that kind of muscle mass than you think. Besides, a little muscle mass goes a long way toward achieving a leaner body. And this is what you want, right?
Specificity of Program
Not just any exercise program will do for weight loss. Simply burning calories is not good enough. The program must be designed to elicit specific hormonal responses that are conducive to weight loss. I’ll give you a hint…hours and hours of cardio is NOT the answer!
Consistency
This one pretty much speaks for itself. Have you ever achieved anything great with an inconsistent effort? Unless you consider failure a great achievement, you probably haven’t. You must exercise consistently to get the results you want! It amazes me how many people put so little effort into their exercise program and complain about not seeing results. Even the most well designed programs are useless if they are not adhered to on a consistent basis.
Diet
Again, this one goes without saying. You can’t expect to achieve a leaner body by continuing your unhealthy eating habits. This isn’t to say that you should drop everything in your diet immediately and exchange it for “healthy” food. You would end up miserable and revert back to your old habits within a month. Instead, practice moderation and don’t overindulge. Also, phase certain unhealthy foods out of your diet while introducing healthier foods. The transition will be easier to make and a lot easier to maintain.

Shape your body by Walking

The greatest myth about walking as an exercise is that walking helps only in reducing your weight and not toning your body the way you want it, by removing fat from specific parts of your body. Gym exercises and Swimming are looked upon as better options when body toning is in question.
This is not true, however. There is more to walking than just pleasure-walking and fast walking. There are many ways of walking and each of your body parts benefit from some way or the other.
Here's how you can shape your body the way you want, by walking.
1. Flat Stomach - Walk downhill with small, fast steps, stomach in, shoulders straight.
Make your steps as small as possible and very fast.
2. Shapely Thighs - Walk uphill with long steps, without bending your knees, stomach in, shoulders straight. This will shape your hips as well.
3. Slimmer Arms - Swing your arms freely as you walk. Feel the pressure in your upper arms as you stretch your arms back and forth.
4. Slim Waistline - Walk at a medium pace with your hands held high in the air above your head. Keep your hands straight and maintain a perfect posture as you walk.
Continued exercising in the correct way will bring you desired results. I suggest
continuing any kind of exercise regularly for at least 40 days before expecting results.

Beauty Sleep

by: Kadence Buchanan
People suffer from extremely busy days that usually lead to extremely "busy" nights. Instead of going to sleep, the vast majority of today's working professionals select to do something else, like watching TV until the early morning hours instead of sleeping properly, due to stress and anxiety problems. But, one should keep in mind that sleep is a necessity, not a luxury. Having a good night's sleep is just as crucial to maintaining wellness as is following a healthy diet and performing the proper amount of exercise.
Apart from being a healing process, sleep is also an invigorating one. Researchers examining the human brain while asleep have found that it is cycling through three stages of sleep; light, deep and REM. During these stages the human organism gets restored, it rejuvenates and it also becomes stronger. In addition, the human immune system gets recharged, as cells grow and repair themselves, and the human body conserves energy that will be needed later while a person is again awake.
Unfortunately, due to the heavy schedules and the daily problems people have to face, many do not value their bodies' sleeping needs. Nowadays, as everything stays open later than in the past, many individuals select to sacrifice their night's sleep for another dance at the local club, a late-night movie, a work project due or a few more hours of exercise in the gym. Instead of investing this time available to sleep and provide to their organism time to heal, people prefer to do other activities that seem more important or interesting. What they may not realize is that lack of sleep takes a toll on their mental and physical well-being. According to various studies, like the one the National Sleep Foundation performs frequently, even minimal sleep loss has a profoundly detrimental impact on mood, cognition, performance, productivity, communication skills, accident rates and general health status. Thus, it is important for people to know that for optimal functioning throughout the day, the average adult needs between seven to nine hours of sleep during the night.
But, some people lack their normal sleeping patterns not because of choice, but due to a condition. Million of people worldwide for example, suffer from insomnia today. For these people, using medication-whether based on a doctor's prescription or not-is crucial to aid their night's sleep. Thus, if one suspects that the problems she or he has sleeping could be linked to a health condition like insomnia, it is imperative to visit a doctor's office, if the following tips do not bring sleep back into their lives.- Avoid caffeinated food and beverages, like coffee, teas, chocolate, and soft drinks, for at least three hours before bedtime. Instead try a cup of warm milk.
- Exercise regularly, but do not perform any workout before bedtime for at least three hours.
- Check the mattress and be sure it supports your whole body. Flip it periodically.
- Develop a ritual before bedtime and perform it daily. Warm baths, reading, listening to soft calming music, are some of the things that can relax your mind and let it rest.
- Sleep in a quiet and comfortable room. Noise, light, temperature can reduce your sleep duration and quality.
- Go to bed and wake up the same time every day. When your sleep cycle has a regular rhythm you will feel better.
Beauty Tips for Teen Girls

By Beverly Smith
Makeup and clothing is an issue for many teenage girls. If you are stressing about what you should look like as a newcomer in middle school, or a freshie in high school, here's a quick guide to help your fashion mature with you throughout middle and high school.
In Sixth grade, wear lip gloss, some mascara, and maybe a little bit of pale eyeshadow; don't go too heavy or it may look bad. If you want to try out more types of makeup, keep that for home experiments.
As for clothes, keep it in your comfort level. Bear this in mind: if you are wearing a bra or undershirt, don't let the straps hang out. It doesn't look cool; it just looks sloppy. If you are wearing a short shirt, check in the mirror to see if your stomach hangs out of the bottom. Otherwise, wear something a little bit longer. Also, if your pants are likely to slip, wear a belt. Belts are totally hip now!
* The main point is to keep the makeup light, and the clothes clean cut.
In Seventh grade you are beginning to care a little more what you look like; you might want to try curling your hair a few days a week, and using different hairstyles besides your typical ponytail.
If you are acne prone, try foundation. Remember thet even oily skin can get flaky and that looks horrible with foundation. So try it on weekends first and ask your mother (or someone that uses foundation well) if it looks okay.
In Seventh grade you might want to try eyeliner. But not too much because you don't want to look like a racoon!
Start trying to tie outfits together with accessories. It's good to try new things with your makeup and clothes. But when you try the new things, make sure it looks good on you, not just in the picture or at the store. Check out different stores, and find out if there is a style that suits you.
In eighth grade you are probably getting good at makeup and you know what you like. Try establishing your own hairstyle without looking like everyone else. For example, if everyone has long, layered hair with no bangs, try light wispy bangs and a shorter, layered look.
You might be wearing tighter jeans now and probably starting to get concerned with impressing the guys, so it's safe to try out more mature styles such as a sleek leather blazer, or lower cut necklines. If you are happy with your sports bra, that is totally OK. But it's safe now to check out the actual bra department and wear something that makes you feel pretty - like lace.
Ninth grade: high school! This is a big transition. Now in the same world as seniors, you are going to want to look like the rest of your peers. You should by now have your makeup and hair styles already. Try to update this look a bit, because no one wants to carry the same look they had in middle school. Dramatize a detail in your hair. If its known for it's left side part, part it even deeper. Make a straight style even sleeker and hip. Learn to make youre curls tighter, or looser.
In high school you might want to wear your usual make up during the day, and as you start to go out with friends and boys at night, add a darker shade of eyeliner, or jazz up your lips with something more festive. It's also good to try new shoes, try wearing spikier ankle boots with a pair of hot jeans and a blouse. Chunkier heels aren't as hip as spikes as you get older. Incorporate accessories into your outfit. Buy yourself a bag that's in suede or leather to keep your schoolbooks in, instead of a backpack. You will want to buy yourself a new jacket, and make it your own.
You know what you like, so go and find clothes that fit your style, but crank it up a notch for a more mature feel.
* Remember, no matter how old you are the most important thing is to have fun.

How To get Rid Of Blemishes (Pimples)

CLEAN!
Wash your face with a gentle, oil- and fragrance-free cleanser; preferably a nondetergent one labeled pH balanced.
If you have oily skin all over your face, use a cleanser that contains benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid.
Don't scrub - irritated skin swells around the pores, which can cause breakouts.
Skip toner unless your face is very oily, otherwise it might dry out the skin.
TREAT!
Apply a topical acne treatment containing benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid over your entire face, not just where blemishes have already erupted.
At night, use a drying spot-treatment product and dab oil-free moisturizer on dry areas.
In the morning, apply an oil-free sunscreen gel over the entire face.
CONCEAL!
Use a small makeup brush to dab concealer or cream foundation (in the exact same shade as your skin) directly onto the blemish. Use a fingertip to wipe away excess concealer around the blemish and, if necessary, apply another coat of concealer.
If the makeup becomes cakey, carefully wipe it off and start over. gently brush powder (in the exact same shade as your skin) on top of the concealer.
Tricks Of The Trade:from: free-beauty-tips.com
* If you have oily skin and feel that you need toner, apply it only on the T-zone, and rinse it off afterward (leaving it on can dry the skin). Use a clay mask as often as every three days to absorb excess oil.
* To stop redness and swelling in an emergency situation (job interview, wedding), ask your doctor for a cortisone injection. It calms down a pimple almost instantly.
* If you can't get to your dermatologist (or needles make you squemish), temporarily reduce redness and swelling by dabbing on a drop of drugstore cortisone cream, Preparation H, or Vasocon-A eyedrops.
